Minister of Justice receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Armenia

   Today, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan received the delegation headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Armenia Martina Quick.

Arpine Hovhannisyan introduced the guests to the priority programmes of the Ministry of Justice, amendments to be made to the legal acts after the constitutional reforms, in particular, the draft Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia and the results of the meetings being held with interested parties with regard thereto.

  The parties also touched upon the programmes being implemented within the scope of the EU's Eastern Partnership and with the assistance of the Council of Europe.

Martina Quick extended her thanks to the Minister of Justice for the reception and emphasised that in recent years Armenian-Swedish relations have become considerably active and entered into a qualitatively new stage.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to deepen the co-operation.
