Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia recognised as European national data protection authority

On 27 May 2016, the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia was recognised as a European national data protection authority, pursuant to the resolution adopted during the European Conference of Data Protection Authorities. The decision on this was taken during the annual meeting of data protection authorities of EU member states.
This conference, which is devoted to the developments in the sphere of personal data protection and the presentation of experience of different countries, is the meeting of authorised data protection authorities of the European Union and other European states that usually ends with the adoption of major documents relating to the sphere.
