Draft Concept Paper on modernisation of medical services within penitentiary institutions of the Republic of Armenia being presented for public consultations

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has presented the "Draft Concept Paper on Modernisation of Medical Services within Penitentiary Institutions of the Republic of Armenia" on its official website for public consultations (http://moj.am/legal/view/article/963).

The adoption of the Concept Paper is conditioned by the need for guaranteeing the rights of persons within penitentiary institutions to health protection and medical assistance enshrined by the Constitution and laws, improving the legal regulations regarding medical services provided within penitentiary institutions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as bringing the Concept Paper in line with the international commitments assumed by the Republic of Armenia and the existing international best practice.

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia attaches importance to the opinions of stakeholders and representatives of stakeholder organisations regarding the draft Concept Paper presented for public consultations and calls on sending comments and suggestions to info@moj.am.
