Minister of Justice receives Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia

On 14 June, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Seyyed Kazem Sajjad.

Minister Zeynalyan highly appreciated the co-operation between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia and noted that the Government of the Republic of Armenia was determined to develop relations with Iran.

The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Minister for the reception and emphasised that the current close and developing co-operation was the result of the friendly relations of the two countries.

During the meeting, the Minister of Justice and the Ambassador touched upon the issue of returning Iranian convicts serving their sentence in the Republic of Armenia to Iran, to the activities for further deepening of the co-operation between the two countries in the legal sphere, to organising trainings for judges, lawyers with the view to studying the legislation of Armenia and Iran and to the possibilities of the upcoming visit of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
