Representatives of UN Assessment Group meet with representatives of state bodies and NGOs

Representatives of the Secretariat of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and assessment experts from Serbia have arrived in Armenia within the scope of the Second Cycle of Review of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

The Second Cycle of Review of the United Nations Convention against Corruption was launched in 2015, and, through a lot, the Republic of Serbia and the Dominican Republic were selected as the countries that would assess Armenia.

The representatives of the assessment group met with representatives of the interested state bodies and NGOs of the Republic of Armenia within the scope of the working discussions taking place on 16-18 July.

 The steps that Armenia is taking to fulfil the requirements of Chapter 2 (Preventive measures) and Chapter 5 (Asset recovery) of the Convention were discussed during the meetings.

Within the scope of the Second Cycle of Review of the Convention, the experts will develop a report on compliance of Armenia with the requirements of Chapter 2 (Preventive measures) and Chapter 5 (Asset recovery) of the Convention.
