Deputy Minister of Justice receives the Delegation of Asian Development Bank

Today, Deputy Minister of Justice Kristinne Grigoryan received the representatives of Asian Development Bank chaired by Country Director Mr Paolo Spantigati.
The Deputy Minister greeted the counterparts in the Ministry of Justice and expressed willingness to continue close partnership.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues of co-operation within the scope of judicial and legal reforms.
Mr Paolo Spantigati noted that Asian Development Bank had been quite active in co-operation with the private sector and emphasised that on behalf of Armenia they had one of the best examples of co-operation in the region. Mr Paolo Spantigati also noted that they consider the process of judicial and legal reforms in the light of creation of a more favourable environment for the activities of the private sector and are ready to co-operate both with the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council for that purpose.
Deputy Minister Grigoryan presented to the counterparts the scope of judicial and legal reforms initiated by the Ministry of Justice which was closely related to the activities of the private sector and the promotion of business environment. In particular, she touched upon the increase in the efficiency of the judicial system, the establishment of arbitration institute, as well as reduction and increase in the transparency of the time period for examination of bankruptcy cases, by introducing electronic toolkit.
Summing up the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on further co-operation.
