Online public discussion of the draft Law of the Republic of Armenia "On the Fact-Finding Commission of the Republic of Armenia" takes place

Today, First Deputy Minister of Justice Rafik Grigoryan had a distance working discussion on the draft Law of the Republic of Armenia "On the Fact-Finding Commission of the Republic of Armenia."

The public discussion was organised by the "Centre for Legislation Development and Legal Research" Foundation of the Ministry of Justice, which was attended by deputies from all factions of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, representatives of non-governmental organisations, and citizens deemed beneficiaries within the framework of the draft Law.

Greeting the participants of the meeting, Deputy Minister Grigoryan presented the agenda of the work discussion, meanwhile noting that a number of recommendations have already been received on the draft Law having been presented for public discussion, which are in the process of finalisation, and this meeting is also aimed at making further reforms in the Draft.

Afterwards, Tigran Dadunts, Head of the "Centre of the Legislation Development and Legal Research" Foundation of the Ministry of Justice and the experts of the Foundation presented the procedure for the formation of the Fact-Finding Commission provided for by the Draft and the scope of powers of the Commission, which was followed by the presentation and discussion of observations and recommendations on the Draft by the participants of the meeting.

Summing up, Deputy Minister Grigoryan noted that the discussions on this Draft will be continuous.
