Minister of Justice and Ambassador of India emphasise the need for deepening bilateral relations in the field of mutual legal assistance

Today, during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Kishan Dan Devali, Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan highly appreciated India’s clear position on the encroachment of Azerbaijan on the sovereign territory of Armenia.

Among the issues on the agenda, a reference was made to the ambitious reforms that the Government of Armenia initiated in a number of fields after the Velvet Revolution in 2018, in particular, to the activities carried out in the field of the fight against corruption, protection of human rights, the police, penitentiary and probation services, as well as a number of issues concerning possible co-operation in these directions were discussed.

Both sides highly appreciated the co-operation between the two countries within international organisations and emphasised the need for deepening bilateral relations in the field of mutual legal judicial assistance.
