President of Supreme Audit Institution of United Arab Emirates arrives in Armenia at invitation of Minister of Justice

Today, Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan received President of the Supreme Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Chairman of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions Harib Saeed Al-Amimi.

Minister Andreasyan expressed gratitude to the President of the Supreme Audit Institution for visiting Armenia, emphasised the fraternal ties between the peoples of both countries, highly appreciated the medical aid provided to Armenia in the course of the previous year during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and expressed hope that this visit will particularly give an impetus to discovery of the great potential for trade and economy of the UAE and to the planning for use of that potential.

Harib Saeed Al-Amimi expressed gratitude to the Minister for the cordial reception, presented the activities of the Supreme Audit Institution in the UAE and expressed willingness to share the experience of the Supreme Audit Institution with Armenia.

In his turn, Minister Andreasyan presented the reform agenda of Armenia and particularly touched upon the activities of the new anti-corruption bodies and other issues of mutual interest.

The President of the Supreme Audit Institution expressed certainty that this visit will help to open a new page in the bilateral relations and invited Karen Andreasyan to the UAE to attend Expo 2020 Dubai. Minister Andreasyan accepted the invitation.

Let us mention that, within the scope of the visit to Armenia, the delegation will also have meetings with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan, Chairperson of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan and Chairperson of the Audit Chamber Levon Yolyan.
