I would like to invite the colleagues of the Government of Lithuania to take part in the implementation of the wide agenda of reforms in Armenia for judicial and constitutional reforms, the establishment of anti-corruption institutions and the ensuring of better governance of the Compulsory Enforcement Service. This is what Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan declared during a meeting held today with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė.

During the meeting, on behalf of the Minister of Justice of Lithuania, the Ambassador invited Karen Andreasyan to Vilnius to co-operate in a number of directions.

Karen Andreasyan expressed gratitude to his Lithuanian counterpart for the invitation to visit Vilnius and discussed with the Ambassador the opportunities for developing co-operation in a number of sectors. These sectors concerned the introduction of e-justice, police reforms, the effective fight against domestic violence, etc. The Minister, among other factors, considered the active involvement of civil society in this process as a guarantee for success of the reforms that have been launched and provided the Ambassador of Lithuania with details about the activities that have been undertaken and are ongoing in that direction.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the active co-operation between the Ministry of Justice and civil society and expressed willingness to share her personal experience in a number of directions for reforms and to deepen the co-operation.
