Karen Andreasyan discusses justice reforms with the Ministers of Justice of Ireland, Greece and Croatia

Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Karen Andreasyan met with Ivan Malenica, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Croatia - Member State of the Council of Europe. During the meeting, the Minister touched upon the course of reforms underway in the e-justice sector, underscoring the advance experience of Croatia in this sector, as well as presented the programmes of the Ministry of Justice within the scope of penitentiary reforms, particularly for establishing a penitentiary institution based on a new model. The Minister of Justice of Croatia stated that reciprocal visits will give the opportunity to provide more targeted solutions to the existing problems. Within the scope of the Conference, the Minister also had meetings with his counterparts of Council of Europe Member States. During the meeting with Minister of State at the Department of Justice of Ireland James Browne, the advanced experience of Ireland in the development of a penitentiary policy and the opportunities for deepening of further co-operation within the scope of the sector-specific reforms underway in the Republic of Armenia were discussed. Afterwards, the Minister also met with Minister of Justice of Greece Kostas Tsiaras. Minister Karen Andreasyan presented to his counterpart the reforms underway in the justice sector, particularly in the e-justice sector, as well as the details related to digitisation of the sector of provision of public services and the expected reforms. The Minister attached importance to the advance practice of Greece in the e-justice sector. At the end of the meeting, the parties extended thanks to each other and expressed willingness to continue and further deepen the existing co-operation. On 13-14 December, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Karen Andreasyan participated in the Conference of Ministers of Justice of Council of Europe Member States entitled "Crime and Criminal Justice - The Role of Restorative Justice in Europe" in Venice, Italy.
