Representatives of the Open Government Partnership initiative highly appreciates efforts of the Government and the Ministry of Justice for strengthening democracy and combating corruption

Deputy Minister of Justice Yeranuhi Tumanyants received Deputy Director and Regional Lead, Country Support at the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Shreya Basu. During the meeting, importance was attached to the expansion of the participatory process beyond the OGP (at the local level) for best implementation of the Public Administration Reforms Agenda and certain international commitments of the Republic of Armenia. Yeranuhi Tumanyants attached importance to the contribution of the OGP to the functioning of participatory mechanisms and to the increase of the level of transparency and accountability with regard to the adoption of decisions in Armenia. Shreya Basu highly appreciated the efforts of the Government and the Ministry of Justice for strengthening democracy, combating corruption and the reforms made within the scope of the OGP.
