Announcement on admission of new members to the group of observers

The group of public observers (hereinafter referred to as "the Group") exercising public control in the penitentiary institutions and bodies of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia is announcing admission of new members and interns.

Any person who has command of Armenian, has attained the age of 23, is a citizen of the Republic of Armenia or permanently resides in the Republic of Armenia, and is a representative of a non-governmental organisation may apply. Preference shall be given to persons who have the profession of a lawyer, social worker, doctor, psychologist and have professional work experience.

The person may not apply, who:

2.1.   has been declared as having no or limited active legal capacity through judicial procedure;

2.2.  has been convicted of committing a crime, and the conviction has not been cancelled or expired as prescribed;

2.3.  is a public servant.

To apply, it is necessary to fill out the APPLICATION and submit the following documents attached to the application:

-       Identification document (original and copy);

-       document certifying professional and educational skills and knowledge;

-       letter of recommendation provided by the organisation and the Charter (copy), CV;

-       documents certifying compliance with the requirements provided for by points 1 and 2 of this Announcement.

In order to participate in the competition, it is necessary to submit the APPLICATION and the attached documents to the Group by 15 June 2022 (deadline for applications), every working day, from 11:00 to 13:00 and/or from 14:00 to 16:00.

You may hand in the APPLICATION and the attached documents to the Group in person, sending by post or by the e-mail specified in the Announcement, approved or signed with an electronic digital signature and photocopied.
