It is proposed to deliver the Police, the Rescue Service and the Migration and Citizenship Service to the subordination of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

During the sitting of the Government, Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan introduced the draft Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia "On making amendments and a supplement to Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No 580-A of 22 May 2018".

The Minister stated that adoption of the draft is conditioned by the need to establish the bodies subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the context of formation of the Ministry, which will ensure the necessary conditions for the Ministry of Internal Affairs to properly implement activities within the scope of the functions reserved to it.

Grigor Minasyan stressed that the draft under consideration arises from the Law "On making amendments and a supplement to the Law "On state administration bodies"", according to which the Government shall decide on the issue of subordination of bodies subject to the Ministry of Internal Affairs prior to approval of the Charter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In this context, the Minister proposed to deliver the Police, the Rescue Service and the Migration and Citizenship Service to the subordination of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and, accordingly, declaring the sub-point concerning the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the paragraph related to the Migration Service as repealed.
