Important measures, such as amendments to the legal memorandum and constitutional amendments — development of recommendations for the vetting process of acting judges — have been implemented in the framework of the collaboration with the EU.
Proposals and solutions on legislative amendments have also been developed; a study on constitutional and legal regulations has been carried out under the Project as well, to allow to use the independent administrative appeal boards which could mitigate the workload of courts for small cases, administrative cases of first instance, thus contributing to the introduction of alternative ways of dispute resolution in Armenia.
Support to the development of communication strategy for justice reforms has been provided within the scope of the Project.
The representatives from the Supreme Judicial Council, the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, the Prosecutor General's Office, Justice Academy and EU delegation to Armenia participated in the sitting of the Steering Committee.
