Minister Grigor Minasyan participates in the 11th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum

Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan delivered a speech at the open meeting of Ministers of Justice participating at the 11th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. Grigor Minasyan expressed gratitude to the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Konstantin Chuychenko for organising the 11th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum at a high level, and emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral and multilateral co-operation between the agencies of states in the field of justice during the Forum and the meeting of Ministers of Justice.

The Minister emphasised the importance of reforms taking place in the field of fight against corruption in Armenia and noted that the Anti-Corruption Court has been operating since 2022; he presented the vision of the activities, the mission, as well as the scope of competence of the Court. Grigor Minasyan stated that a separated Anti-Corruption Court of Appeal would start operating from 1 January 2024.

In the context of reforms in the field of compulsory enforcement of judicial acts, the Minister noted that the Republic of Armenia had taken active steps towards the introduction of a completely automated system in the field of compulsory enforcement of judicial acts and underlined within this context that currently the document circulation process in the Compulsory Enforcement Service was carried out electronically.

Grigor Minasyan also made reference to the reforms of the probation institute in Armenia and presented the peculiarities of the electronic probation (e-probation) management platform, the aim of which is to reduce the document circulation, to ensure transparent and accountable working style of the Probation Service, etc.

The 11th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum is entitled "Sovereignty in Law" and Ministers from about 46 countries has participated in the event.
