Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan had a bilateral meeting with Minister of Justice of Portugal Catarina Sarmento e Castro at the annual session of the European Public Law Organisation's Global Rule of Law Commission in Portugal. The parties considered the potential scopes of cooperation between the two countries in the justice sector. In particular, Portugal's advanced experience in digitisation and the penitentiary sector was touched upon. The directions for possible cooperation in the mediation sector as alternative dispute resolution mechanisms were also considered. The Ministers of Justice of both countries also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest in the justice sector. An agreement was reached to deepen cooperation in the justice sector.
