Performance evaluation system at Penitentiary Service — Officers who successfully pass performance evaluation will receive surcharges

The Government has adopted the draft Decision “On establishing the procedure for performance evaluation of penitentiary officers". The performance evaluation procedure for officers of the Penitentiary Service in the senior, leading, middle and junior groups, the procedure for establishing a performance evaluation commission, the stages of performance evaluation, the main principles for preparing the test questions, the assessment procedure and other peculiarities of organising the performance evaluation, have been established. The Decision will make it possible to actually start performance evaluation of the relevant penitentiary officers, which will also help to engage personnel with relevant professional potential in the Penitentiary Service, as well as establish a level that is required for their social security which will help to make the penitentiary system more attractive, guaranteeing both the replenishment of vacancies and the engagement of qualified specialists. Based on the results of the performance evaluation, surcharges will be calculated for penitentiary officers, there will be more social guarantees for penitentiary officers, and the remuneration of penitentiary officers will increase.
