Narcotic drugs, Wi-Fi devices, phones — Report on prohibited items detected at penitentiary institutions for the month of April

Officers of the territorial divisions of the Operational Division of the Central Body of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and the security divisions of penitentiary institutions have detected and prevented attempts to circulate prohibited items, narcotic drugs at penitentiary institutions. Thus, penitentiary officers detected masses resembling narcotic drugs weighing a total of 231.96 grammes, 170 mobile phones and 167 mobile phone accessories, 20 Wi-Fi devices, 46 cutting and piercing objects, 200.5 litres of homemade alcohol and 0.25 litres of state manufactured alcoholic beverages, 44 various types of pills, and other prohibited items within the deliveries brought for persons deprived of liberty, as well as during personal searches, searches of personal belongings, clothing, refrigerators, wardrobes, bedding, and other hiding places set up in various locations within the particular penitentiary institutions. In all of the listed cases, relevant proceedings have been initiated, and forensic-chemical expert examinations have been designated. The consistent fight against persons deprived of liberty keeping and circulating prohibited items is ongoing.
