23 contenders participate in first stage of regular qualification test for licensed mediators

The Ministry of Justice held the first stage (written stage) of the regular qualification test for licensed mediators, and 23 contenders had applied to participate. The candidates who passed the qualification test were granted the opportunity to take part in an eight-day intensive course developed by international expert mediators. Director of the "Legislation Development and Legal Research Centre" Foundation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Dadunts greeted the participants of the qualification exam and emphasised that the fact that interest in mediation is growing on a daily basis goes to show the successful start of and prospects for reforms. Attaching importance to the trends in mediation, that is, the development of a modern and effective method for settlement of disputes, Tigran Dadunts wished all the applicants success in the qualification process. The second stage (oral stage) of the qualification test is coming up, and it will be held with the participation of contenders who have successfully passed the written stage. In case of successful completion of the second stage, the community of Armenia’s mediators will be replenished with 23 new specialists.
