Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice Tigran Areyan and Head of the Financial and Economic Department-Chief Accountant Zara Margaryan hosted young specialists participating in the “Budgets for Citizens” Project, as well as representatives of non-governmental organisations and mass media representatives. In his welcoming remarks, Tigran Areyan particularly stressed the target sectors, i.e. justice, agriculture and social support, which are included in the "Budgets for Citizens" Project. Areyan noted that the main complication of the Project is simplification of the "budget language". Zara Margaryan expressed gratitude to the attendees for their participation, interest and willingness, talked about how the budget process is implemented in the sector, the people who are engaged in this process and what the grounds for budgeting are. The discussion ended with a question-and-answer session. The "Budgets for Citizens" Project is being implemented with funding from the European Union and jointly by the Armenian Lawyers' Association NGO, Economic Development and Research Centre NGO and Agora Central Europe NGO (Czechia).
