Effective implementation of national reforms in line with European standards - Deputy Minister receives delegation of Embassy of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia

Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan received the delegation of Charge d'Affaires, replacing the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Armenia Arvydas Naujokaitis.

Karen Karapetyan expressed gratitude to Lithuania for the financial contribution for effective implementation of the national reforms in line with the European standards in the fields of human rights, democracy and the rule of law as part of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Armenia 2023-2026.

The Deputy Minister wished success in the presidency assumed by Lithuania in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. During the meeting, the issue of participation in the Conference of Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe member states to be held on 4 September in Vilnius, as well as the appropriateness of joining the Council of Europe’s Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law was considered.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue the joint whole-scale and important work.
