Features of electronic devices used for house arrest and administrative surveillance presented to judges

With the participation of Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan, a discussion was organised to present the features of the electronic surveillance devices that are used to ensure application of alternative measures of restraint such as house arrest and administrative surveillance.

Deputy Minister Levon Balyan, attaching importance to the conduct of such discussion-meetings, expressed hope that they will create an opportunity to find solutions to problems that emerge upon execution of alternative measures of restraint such as house arrest and administrative surveillance.

Head of the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice Aram Nikoyan presented to the judges the problems that emerge upon the use of electronic surveillance devices and recommended solutions to those problems.

Head of the Electronic Monitoring Department of the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Edgar Aleksanyan spoke about the features of the electronic surveillance devices and the principles for their use. Summing up the meeting, the Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the participants for the fruitful discussion.
