Armenian experience in personal data protection presented to representatives of the institutions of the European Commission and European Union

On 9-13 September, the Delegation of the Personal Data Protection Agency, under the chairmanship of Head of the Agency Grigor Nersisyan, participated in the “Personal Data Protection Academy for the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership Regions” event in Brussels which was jointly organised by the German International Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the OECD SIGMA Programme and the European Commission.

The delegation held a number of meetings and discussions with representatives of the European Commission, representatives of the highest EU personal data protection institutions, heads of the PDP agencies of the Eastern Partnership and Western Balkan regions.

The measures taken by the PDP authorised body in the area of personal data protection were presented, and the opportunities for further co-operation were considered during the event.
