Restrictions on acceptance of gifts, integrity review, Anti-Corruption Strategy — Karen Karapetyan presents implemented reforms to journalists and NGO sector

Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan took part in the discussion-seminar under the title "Progress of Anti-Corruption Reforms" organised by the Union of Informed Citizens NGO.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister presented the achievements made as a result of the institutional reforms that have been carried out in the anti-corruption field in Armenia.

In particular, the ongoing improvement of the institutional system of already well-established and operating anti-corruption bodies, the Anti-Corruption Strategy and the 2023-2026 Action Plan arising from the Strategy, as well as the reforms envisaged within the scope of this Strategy were touched upon.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to the existing mechanisms for integrity review, whistle-blowing and declaration systems, restrictions on the acceptance of gifts, anti-corruption education and public awareness were also considered.

The Deputy Minister also touched upon a number of issues of concern for the participants of the discussion.
