Head of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency shares Armenian experience and achievements in the sector to countries of the Pacific region and Africa

Head of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency of the Ministry of Justice Marina Yaylakhanyan participated in the Fourth Global Expert Forum for Producers and Users of Disaster Related Statistics of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) held in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

During the Forum, the Head of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency presented the developments in the sector of civil status acts registration in Armenia, the achievements made over the past decade, as well as the programmes and the planned activities for further developments. Representatives of the countries of the Pacific region and Africa attended the Forum.

The Republic of Armenia is a key ESCAP partner, with its outstanding achievements in the area of creation and use of data related to civil status acts registration and publication, sustainable development goals (SDGs), ensuring the highest level of data accessibility and transparency among the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
