Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan meets with convicts sentenced to life imprisonment at "Nubarashen" Penitentiary Institution

Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan and Head of the Penitentiary Service Tsovinar Tadevosyan paid a visit to "Nubarashen" Penitentiary Institution.

Srbuhi Galyan met with 25 convicts sentenced to life imprisonment, listened to the issues and concerns that they raised.

Issues related to the confinement conditions of the convicts were discussed during the meeting.

The Minister assured that the concerns raised by the convicts are in the focus of the Ministry and the Minister personally.

The possibility of using the potential of two convicts sentenced to life imprisonment who have professional knowledge in programming, was considered, with the aim to organise programming courses for other convicts.

During the visit, the Minister also became familiar with the recently renovated rooms for long-term visits, and the children's room designed for short-term visits.
