Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic Christos Sofianopoulos

Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Armenia Christos Sofianopoulos. The Minister attached importance to the development of the bilateral relations in many sectors, highlighting the continuity of dialogue within the justice system. During the meeting, the Minister presented to the Ambassador the justice reforms agenda, touching upon the steps that are being taken for judicial-legal reforms, the fight against corruption and human rights protection. The Minister also presented the progress of the Constitutional Reforms, stressing that the text of the new Constitution is expected to be ready before the parliamentary elections in 2026. The opportunities for co-operation in the visa liberalisation process with the EU, as well as the new roadmap developed by the Ministry of Justice within the scope of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, were also touched upon during the meeting. Importance was also attached to the steps being taken for ensuring legal equality. The Ambassador of Greece to the Republic of Armenia expressed gratitude for the reception, expressing willingness to deepen the bilateral co-operation.
