Unprecedented participation — 115 persons applied for qualification test of the Ministry of Justice for notary translators

Today, the qualification test for translators participating in notarial actions for the year 2022 was held and was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice, Chairperson of the Commission Armenuhi Harutyunyan.

There were 115 persons who had applied to participate in the qualification test in order to perform translations in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Georgian, Arabic, French, German, Turkish, Persian, Spanish and Hindi, as well as sign language translations.

Let us mention that this indicator exceeds the indicator of participation of the previous years by three times.

The expert will assess the test results on a scale of 20 points. The passing scores are 17 and higher.

Issues related to the qualification test are regulated by Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No 193 of 2 March 2002 "On approving the procedure for issuing a qualification certificate to translators participating in notarial actions".

Those applying for the qualification test were given texts in Armenian and in the language selected by them, and both texts were selected by the Commission and were not subject to publication in advance. During the test, the applicant has the right to use dictionaries and computer equipment. It is prohibited to use any type of means of telecommunication.
