Vacancies available for psychologists at penitentiary institutions
The Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice is announcing the need to fill the vacancies for psychologists at two penitentiary institutions. In particular, there is one vacancy for a psychologist at "Goris" Penitentiary Institution and two vacancies at "Armavir" Penitentiary Institution.
Minister of Justice recaps achievements made in 2019
Today, during a meeting with journalists, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan recapped the activities carried out by the Ministry of Justice in 2019. The Minister set aside the approved, measurable and pretentious Strategy for Judicial and Legal Reforms and Anti-Corruption Strategy and the Action Plans arising therefrom as achievements made in 2019, and according to him, the amount of financial support of international partners will be exceptional, within the scope of those Strategies and Action Plans.
Council for Juvenile Justice holds annual concluding session
Today, the Council for Juvenile Justice, which carries out its activities through the co-operation of the Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Children’s Fund, held a concluding session for the year 2019. The session was chaired by Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Suren Krmoyan and Head of the Department for Drafting Anti-Corruption and Penitentiary Policies of the Staff of the Ministry of Justice Arpine Sargsyan.
National Strategy on Human Rights Protection approved
Today, the Government approved the forth National Strategy on Human Rights Protection and the 2020-2022 Action Plan deriving from the Strategy developed by the Ministry of Justice. According to Deputy Minister of Justice Kristinne Grigoryan, the Strategy assesses the current state of human rights and the previous Action Plans and earmarks the main principles and priorities for the next three years.

During the panel discussion of the 8th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption being held in Abu Dhabi, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan touched upon the “new generation” anti-corruption strategy. Stating that corruption has become one of the biggest challenges for not only the global economy and rule of law, but also for peace and security, the Minister considered the implementation of a comprehensive and effective strategy for the fight against corruption at the national level and the combination of efforts at the regional and global levels as an important issue.
