The building was built through the financial assistance of the European Union.

The purpose of the Guide is to ensure an integrated interpretation of legislation on personal data protection, to raise awareness of children, parents and data processors about their rights and responsibilities and to increase the level of protection of personal data of children.
Minister of Justice suspends activity of a notary public
Upon the order of Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan, the notary public of "Gavar" notarial district has been subjected to disciplinary liability, and a disciplinary penalty in the form of suspension of activity for a term of four months has been imposed on the notarial district.
The Personal Data Protection Agency sums up the second year of activities
The main activities of the Agency for the year 2016 were aimed at solving the main sector-specific issues, i.e. protection of personal data of minors, implementation of video surveillance, as well as undesirable messages. Unified platform for publishing draft legal acts has been launched
Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Suren Krmoyan attached importance to the idea of creating the www.e-draft.am website and noted that it would provide interested persons and organisations with the opportunity to get acquainted with the draft laws developed by state bodies, follow the process of development and, in case of registration on the website, post comments, get acquainted with the summaries, the approved recommendations or the justifications for disapproval of those recommendations as well.
A number of employees of a penitentiary institution subjected to disciplinary liability
Upon the orders of Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan of 20 January 2017, disciplinary penalties have been imposed on a number of employees of "Sevan" Penitentiary Institution. In particular, based on the results of official investigations, disciplinary penalties (“severe reprimand” and “reprimand”) have been imposed on the head of "Sevan" Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, his or her deputy, the deputy head of the Security Unit, as well as the responsible on-duty officer for improper performance of official duties, as well as for abuse of official powers.
More than ten thousand entrepreneurs have registered in the course of one year
In the same period, 290 non-governmental organisations, 8 political parties, 6 unions of legal entities, 104 funds and foundations, 9 trade unions, 1 religious organisation, 10 state administrative institutions, 16 community administrative institutions and 57 consumer co-operatives were registered.
Arpine Hovhannisyan presented in Strasbourg activities carried out in the sector of democratic reforms in the Republic of Armenia
Arpine Hovhannisyan touched upon the 2015-2018 Action Plan for Armenia, the processes that followed the constitutional amendments, as well as the 2012-2016 Strategic Plan for Judiciary Reforms approved by the executive order of the President of the Republic of Armenia. Within this context, the Minister set aside a number of significant achievements, in particular the introduction of an electronic mechanism for the distribution of cases among judges, the specification of objective criteria for assessing the performance of judges, etc.
Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan meets with Nils Muižnieks and Thorbjørn Jagland
Within the framework of the visit, the Minister today met with the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muižnieks and the Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland. During the meeting, the parties discussed the 2015-2018 CoE-Armenia Action Plan, as well as touched upon a number of issues related to the protection of human rights, the Electoral Code and the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.
