Draft Law “On the Constitutional Court” considered with representatives of the Venice Commission
Artur Hovhannisyan welcomed the visit of the experts to Armenia and highlighted the usefulness and significance of bilateral meetings held on a regular basis. During the meeting, a number of provisions of the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Constitutional Court” were discussed.

Minister participates in the Conference on the Empowerment of Girls and Women in Armenia
According to Arpine Hovhannisyan, one of the development criteria of any country is the position held by women in society and the attitude of the society towards them. "Each of us has a role model for perfection, that is, our mother, from whom we first of all learn the attitude towards the society", noted the Minister and added that our young country cannot afford such a "luxury" and refuse the opportunity of using the potential of our girls and women.
Citizens of the Republic of Armenia now have better access to state services
At the service offices, citizens of the Republic of Armenia may use a number of services provided by the service offices of the Agency for State Register of Legal Persons, the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre, the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Police of the Republic of Armenia and the State Migration Service of the Republic of Armenia.

Suren Krmoyan called upon the future lawyers to be active in the process of establishing a law-making state. The idea of creating the website, the need for it and the possibilities of its use in practice were presented during the meeting. In particular, representative of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Anna Harutyunyan noted that the users of the website have the opportunity to get acquainted with the drafts presented for public discussion, and, in case of registering on the website, also submit their comments and suggestions, which will mandatorily be included in the summary of comments and suggestions, ensuring transparency and publicity.
Unified office for provision of state services launched at Anelik Bank branch
The Minister attached importance to the launch of another office at the branch of Anelik Bank and emphasised that 67 state services provided by state bodies are also available at this unified office, saving both time and resources. "Our goal is to make the services provided by the state available to the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, giving them an opportunity to receive the service at a place close to and preferable for them", Arpine Hovhannisyan noted.

The purpose of the latter is to ensure a high level of protection of personal data in labour relations, protect the rights of employees (data subjects), inform employers (data developers) on the main issues of personal data protection and ensure a uniform interpretation of legislation.

The problem stage of the first group of checking qualifications of notaries was launched today at 10:00 in Yerevan; checking of the second group will start at 14:00. With a view to ensuring transparency, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has provided the opportunity to follow the exam on-line this year as well
Report of Armenia presented in Geneva
During the discussion, the Deputy Minister presented the consistent activities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia for implementation of the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Armenia, sector-related legislative amendments and initiatives. Issues related to social integration programmes for persons with disabilities, inclusive education, raising public awareness, as well as the role of non-governmental organisations were discussed as well.
Arpine Hovhannisyan receives OSCE/ODIHR short-term observation mission delegation
The Minister of Justice highly appreciated the existing stable co-operation between Armenia and OSCE/ODIHR, and attached importance to the mission of the organisation to be implemented in parliamentary elections of 2 April.
