The relevant analysis of the activities of the committees of guardianship and curatorship authorities in Armenia and the gaps in those activities will be presented. We are all well aware that this sphere requires serious regulations. Thus, our efforts should be aimed at eliminating the obstacles, as well as closely co-operating with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs — the body developing policies in this sphere," Deputy Minister Krmoyan said.

Forum on prevention of violence against women and domestic violence was held
Deputy Minister of Justice Vigen Kocharyan expressed gratitude to the Council of Europe Office in Armenia and underlined that the CoE has always supported the activities aimed at preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence in Armenia. According to V. Kocharyan, brilliant evidence is the implementation of the project "Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence in Armenia" launched by the Council of Europe in April 2018; the aim of the project was to build the capacities of the main stakeholder institutions participating in the prevention of domestic violence.

Artak Zeynalyan touched upon the ongoing judicial-legal reforms and emphasised that the legal system is being improved through the development of new concept papers, institutions and regulations and the introduction of principally new approaches.

Co-founder of the Network in Armenia Gayane Hovakimyan, Head of the Department for Drafting Anti-Corruption and Penitentiary Policies of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Karen Hakobyan, representative of the Ministry of Justice of Brandenburg of the Federal Republic of Germany Fischer Horst and others also participated in the discussion.
