Minister of Justice touches upon regulations of the Law "On amnesty" at a meeting with journalists
During a meeting with journalists today, the Acting Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia touched upon the regulations of the law.
Legislative reforms for persons deprived of liberty to exercise their rights
In particular, as a result of the studies carried out at penitentiary institutions of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia in 2016, a number of issues related to exercise of the rights of persons deprived of liberty were recorded and were touched upon in the annual report on the activities of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia as a national preventive mechanism for the year 2016.
Artak Zeynalyan and President of the Venice Commission discuss a number of issues of mutual interest
Welcoming the visit of the delegation to Armenia, the Acting Minister noted that the values predetermined during the meeting held within the scope of the visit to Venice in June were being preserved and that the new Government was implementing them.
A number of issues devoted to protection of the best interest of the child discussed
Suren Krmoyan noted that the rights of the child are regulated in detail and the concept of "the best interest of the child" is prescribed by the Constitution and laws. Nevertheless, in both criminal and civil proceedings, the practical problems that often emerge are problems, the solution to which requires not only legal mechanisms, but also extensive work and mechanisms in terms of psychology and society.

During the meeting, draft Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia No 825-N of 26 May 2006 and the drafts of the sanitary and epidemiological guidelines were presented to the participants, and the discussions were devoted to the draft Decision and the draft guidelines.
OSCE to support Armenia in introducing a more effective system of investigation of corruption crimes
In particular, Suren Krmoyan talked about the persistence of the authorities in the fight against corruption due to the new political realities in Armenia and the unconditional support of citizens to implementation of the anti-corruption programmes being implemented by the Government.
