On 9 March, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan was on a working visit to the "Hospital for Convicts" Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice, accompanied with First Deputy Minister of Justice Rafik Grigoryan, Head of the Penitentiary Service, Major General of Justice Artur Goyunyan. During the visit, the Minister was introduced to the peculiarities of the Penitentiary Service and the opportunities of medical service, to the conditions of keeping persons deprived of liberty.

Today, Deputy Minister of Justice Kristinne Grigoryan received the delegation of the OSCE/ODIHR. During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues related to law-making processes. The aim of the visit of the delegation was to assess the needs that emerge during co-operation between the legislative and executive powers within the scope of legislative initiatives and contribute to the capacity-building of interested parties during co-operation.

In execution of the assignment of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Avinyan, the Ministry of Justice, jointly with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, has created, through the combination of electronic governance systems for Civil Status Acts Registration and the State Social Security Service, an opportunity for citizens to submit an application to receive burial allowance at the same body of Civil Status Acts Registration upon registration of the death of the person. Thus, it will no longer be necessary to visit the State Social Security Service to submit an application to receive burial allowance.
