From 2 to 3 August 2019, an outgoing working discussion to address the problems of the Law "On regulatory legal acts" and devise solutions to those problems was held with the participation of First Deputy Minister of Justice Rafik Grigoryan in the city of Tsaghkadzor. Representatives of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, public administration bodies, the Judicial Department and the Chamber of Advocates participated in the discussion.

On 25 July, the "Legal Education and Rehabilitation Programmes Implementation Centre" SNCO of the Ministry of Justice, jointly with the UNICEF, organised a discussion entitled "Actions for prevention of and response to violence against children" and held with the participation of children. During the discussion, the children shared their notions of the issue, developed and submitted recommendations on the actions they would undertake to prevent violence and help children suffering as a result of violence, as well as recommendations to not allow disintegration of children from society and on how the State should respond.

On 25 July, Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan discussed with civil society representatives the draft Anti-Corruption Strategy and the Action Plan in the city of Gavar of Gegharkunik Marz. The meeting was organised by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian Lawyers' Association non-governmental organisation. Let us remind that the Ministry of Justice, with the support of a number of NGOs, has already organised such discussions in Yerevan, Gyumri and Goris, and meetings are also expected to be held with civil society representatives in Martuni, Vanadzor and Armavir.

Today, Deputy Minister of Justice Kristinne Grigoryan received Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See to Armenia, his Highness José Avelino Bettencourt. The representative of His Holiness, the High Priest of Rome expressed gratitude to the Deputy Minister for the reception, noted that he is in Armenia in a stage that is historic for the country and expressed the support of the Holy See to the reforms that the country is implementing for human rights protection. The Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See expressed willingness to deepen the co-operation in several directions.

The Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Justice remain faithful to the declared goal of implementing profound reforms aimed at restoring the trust in judicial power and the recovery of judicial system, and to the position of achieving that goal through clarification and expansion of the grounds for instituting disciplinary proceedings against a judge, as well as elaboration of an impartial mechanism for the assessment of the integrity and property status of judges.
