On 15 August, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Armenia Bedřich Kopecký.
Rustam Badasyan visits Academy of Justice
On 14 August, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan paid a visit to the Academy of Justice. The Minister, with the accompaniment of Rector Sergey Arakelyan, toured the institution, became familiar with the building conditions and visited the Armenian American Friendship Lobby Lounge, the hotel complex designed for listeners from provinces, the computer exam room and the court sessions hall.
It is proposed to criminalise public calls for exerting violence and publicly justifying or advocating violence
During the session of the Government of 6 June 2019, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Justice to consider the appropriateness of criminalisation of calls for violence. Based on this assignment, the Ministry of Justice has conducted a study of the existing legislative regulations, as well as the international standards and practice of the fight against hate speech.

Summary of results of searches conducted at penitentiary institutions in the period between 5 and 10 August
On 7 and 8 August, employees of "Nubarashen" Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, realising operational data, conducted unexpected searches, as a result of which they found 7 mobile phones, 6 chargers, 4 subscription cards, 1 Wi-Fi device, 1 battery, 4 pairs of headphones, 8 cutting-piercing tools, 4 self-made ropes, 2 factory-made decks and 1 self-made deck of playing cards in different cells.
