Session of the Steering Committee on Financing Agreements for the justice sector was held
Deputy Ministers of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Vigen Kocharyan and Suren Krmoyan, employees of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Judicial Department, representatives of the UN Office in Armenia and members of civil society were also attending the working meeting.

The issues raised by nearly dozens of citizens participating in the meeting were mainly about the activities of the territorial body of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

Draft Concept Paper on modernisation of medical services within penitentiary institutions of the Republic of Armenia being presented for public consultations
The adoption of the Concept Paper is conditioned by the need for guaranteeing the rights of persons within penitentiary institutions to health protection and medical assistance enshrined by the Constitution and laws, improving the legal regulations regarding medical services provided within penitentiary institutions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as bringing the Concept Paper in line with the international commitments assumed by the Republic of Armenia and the existing international best practice.

The Council was established within the scope of the "Improvement of Access to Justice for Children in Armenia" Programme, which is carried out by the Ministry of Justice and UNICEF.

Draft Administrative Offences Code of the Republic of Armenia submitted for public discussions
Adoption of the new Administrative Offences Code is supposed to include all administrative offences in one integrated and comprehensive legal act. Besides, adoption of the new code will significantly reform the legislative framework of administrative sanctions and administrative fines.
