Deadline for accepting applications for unified admission-competition to undergo instruction at the Educational Complex of the Police of the Republic of Armenia to be appointed to a position in the newly formed Patrol Service, and for submitting the reporting notices extended for one week
Taking into account an unprecedented large number of citizens and police officers wishing to participate in the admission–competition, as well as the need to continue the unwavering adherence to the requirements for prevention of the coronavirus disease in the admission process of applications, the deadline for accepting applications and submitting reporting notices has been extended to the 14th of August inclusive.

Clarification about the convict committed self-harm the day before
The investigation conducted in the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia — with regard to the case of self-harm of convict of "Nubarashen" Penitentiary Institution Hayk Galstyan covered in a number of media outlets — established that he had previously been convicted 11 times for fraud and other crimes, as well as currently being accused under 7 criminal cases for false denunciation, escape and other criminal offences was transferred on 22 July 2020 , accompanied by the penitentiary officers, to the "Cardiology Research Institute" for medical examination.

On 22 July, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Rustam Badasyan and Head of the Police Vahe Ghazaryan visited the Educational Complex of the Police to get acquainted with the process of accepting applications from citizens wishing to be employed in the new Patrol Service to be created.
Unified Office for Public Services officially opened
he Ministry of Justice has launched the first Unified Office for Public Services in the centre of Yerevan. All comfortable conditions have been created for the citizens to receive from the unified centre services rendered by the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency, the State Register of Legal Entities, the State Revenue Committee, the National Archive, the Social Security Service, the Migration Service, the Cadastre Committee, the Funeral Bureau, as well as notary services.

Today, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan accompanied by the Head of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Major-General of Justice Arthur Goyunyan made a tour in "Abovyan" and "Sevan" Penitentiary Institutions to get acquainted with the holding conditions of the detained persons and convicts, the quality of the food being served under the new food supply system introduced in the penitentiary institutions, the opportunities to properly ensure the right to health care, and other issues.

The introduction of the Patrol Service is the first visible step in the police reforms, which was approved in April 2020. On 18 July, during the public discussion organised by the "Union of Informed Citizens" NGO, speaking about the creation of a new Patrol Service, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Kristinne Grigoryan noted that the police reforms are one of the priorities of the current Government.

Unified admission-competition for instruction to be appointed to a position in the Patrol Service being launched
The Ministry of Justice had announced that the establishment of a new Patrol Service is envisaged in the context of police reforms. The new Patrol Service will be the first wave of modern police, with new education and skills, new demeanour and professionalism, high salary, new equipment and resources. The first step in the achievement of this goal has been taken: the Police are announcing a unified admission-competition for instruction at the Educational Complex of Police to be appointed to a position in the Patrol Service, which is in the process of formation.
